Good Morning!
I do believe my body is starting to get ready for Autumn. Waking up at 3am is in anticipation of waking up an hour later when the clocks go back. Did that make any sense at all? Nevermind.
Found this idea on my morning travels. I thought this looked really sweet and could be a wonderful gift for your quilting friends. I've seen many workstation tidies but this one has quite a good sized pin cushion attached. See what you think.
This could work with any embroidery pattern. You could also use a block from your UFOs or (here is a really novel idea!) make a block especially for it! I am really going to run with this one. Hope my friends aren't reading this. I may make them one each for Christmas.

Quilt That Out!
Got up this morning and checked my emails. The world wide web was calling. So after I had a look at my usual places, I came across this video. As I am soon to be a long-armer, I thought this really hit the spot. See what you think! http://quiltinggallery.com/2010/07/05/hilarious-video-you-can-quilt-that-out/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_campaign=0&utm_content=416375

The Lazy Dyer
It is the middle of the night and yet I am surfing the net! Had a few ideas and thought I would check them out. Came across this website about dying fabrics. I have tried a couple of workshops and like the idea of dying and the results are really interesting. May get the Noodles involved in some dying and see how messy we can get! Take a look at this blog and see what you think. I know that it mentions American products, but there are plenty of UK products which can be easily sourced.

How busy was I???
Hi to all my Noodles and followers,
Life has been a whirlwind around here. As chairman of the famous quilt group Hearty Quilters, I have been quite busy with the 2010 Maidstone Quilt Show. Such a fantastic show in such a breathtaking venue. The group raised a phenomenal £4000 for the Heart of Kent Hospice. If you click on any of the links, you can see all the wonderful exhibits that were on display. Of course "The Noodles" were on hand to offer their creative input. Why do you think they're called "Super Noodles"!
2011 Maidstone Quilt Show plans are already afoot. Please check out the Hearty Quilters blog for all the up to date info. Of course, I will try to keep some extra interest going through this blog as well.
Yesterday some of the Noodles managed to get out and about and attend an HQ group picnic. It rained in the morning, but cleared by noon. It is always fun when you get a group of lively women together under a big tree in the park! Wished more people had attended, but the location got changed at the last minute and the weather was not too convincing. I admit that even I wasn't too hopeful. Still I'm glad I went and we did have a laugh. Watching me take a whole loaf of sliced bread out of my bag along with a pack of ham. I didn't get a chance to make sandwiches and so I just pulled anything out of the fridge, threw it into the bag and went on my adventure! Just typical of me as all the Noodles know.
It's Sunday and I'm off to Mass now. See you next time!
