Good Morning! We had a fun day yesterday at the Noodles' hideout. We sewed some heart cushions for the ladies at the Breast Care Unit of Medway Maritime Hospital. Earlier this year, the quilting group Castle Wall, had a charity sewing day and we all made these heart shaped cushions and donated them to the unit. The nurses were thrilled with them and said they would let us know when they needed more. So I got the call last week and off to the machine I went. The cushions are really easy to sew and while I surfed the net this morning, I found a wonderful Dutch website that has the template and instructions in case you would like to have a go!

If you can, do give this a go and make someone more comfortable through what I can only imagine is a very traumatic, life-altering operation to have to go through.

Hi Sandra. Only just found your blog and realised that you live very near to me. Thank you for the link to the heart pillow I have been wanting to make some for a while now. I also went to the Maidstone quilters show - it was a lovely settling and amazing quilts. Well done on rasing all that money. Looking forward to hearing more from you soon. Caroline
