Happy Mother's Day!

What a wonderful day today was.  Mothering Sunday is never a planned day and today was no exception.  My children made the day very special for me.  My DIL baked me a carrot cake which was totally awesome.  My DS No.2 made a surprise visit all the way from North Finchley.  Of course my Granddaughter stole the show!  Isn't she cute?  Obviously takes after my side of the family!!

DD and I spent the afternoon shopping and ended with a KFC.  Good fun and now a relax with a good movie and a hot drink.

Disappearing 4-patch

Thanks to Elly D at Mad4patchwork, I found this great tute for a disappearing 4-patch.  I have made the disappearing 9-patch and used it in several quilts.  So easy to do.

Spring Clean!

This morning I was up at stupid-o-clock and began cleaning out my cutlery drawer!  Can you think of anything better to do at silly time?  I didn't really lose any sleep over it.  It just came upon me.

So after sitting down with a cup of Earl Grey with honey and lemon, I proceeded to tidy my blog.  I have shifted a few things about, deciding that I would have a new page totally devoted websites that grabbed my attention.

I might just sneak back into bed for a few winks before my Wednesday Noodles arrive!

Hajduszoboszlo, Hungary

On a recent trip to Hajduszoboszlo, Hungary, I took some photos.  It was a family trip, visiting family, so not much sightseeing took place.  But what I saw was interesting.  Here are some of the photos.  The people of this town do like colour and several buildings were orange, yellow, green.

Also I met a fellow patchwork enthusiast!  She and I will be keeping in touch and hopefully exchange ideas and maybe even blocks in future.
