Orca Bay Part 2 Finished Photos

Well the moment you've been waiting for!!  The photos of my blue string blocks.  I just love them.  I have spent most of the morning admiring them.  See what you think.

I just love spray starch and use it for all my pressing.  I found out it is just terrific to use when paper foundation piecing.  If block is sprayed and pressed before removing paper, the paper will become nice and crisp and just a cinch to remove.  Try it and see!

  1. My goodness, your blocks are lovely. I love the blues.

  2. I really like how the gold bits here and there just make the blues come alive. Great movement.

If this quilt wasn't for someone else, I probably would have followed Bonnie too. I have plenty of blues and reds in stash.

Great tip with the spray starch. I'll have to give it a whirl, if for nothing else than to make the corners stay down. (lol)

  3. You've got wonderful variety in your blocks! Great job. Looking forward to clue 3 tomorrow :)

  4. I've enjoyed admiring them too!
